South Boston Real Estate

Commonly referred to as “Southie,” South Boston is located between Dorchester Bay and Fort Point Channel. Situated just on the other side of Route 93 from the South End. South Boston offers both an East and West side with Broadway Street running straight through it lined with restaurants and shops.

The East Side offers residents quick access to Castle Island Park, a great place for a picnic or jog along the water as well as Carson Beach, a prime place to feel your toes in the sand. The West Side offers easy access to major routes, public transportation and is close to all that the South End has to offer. No matter which side you choose, South Boston has been one of the hottest neighborhoods in recent years with many new buildings being erected.

Perhaps among the fastest growing neighborhoods is the Seaport District of South Boston. Although it has its own name, it is technically a subsection of South Boston. Seaport is home to many wharfs and a convention center. Today, more and more hotels, restaurants and new skyscraping residential towers are being built. Seaport also benefits from easy access to major routes including 90, 93, Ferry Service and a few blocks to Boston’s Financial District making for an ideal location.
