Buying Boston Real Estate

In order to better serve you, I have compiled a list of suggested action items below for you to follow for the home buying process. From getting pre-approved to selecting the best neighborhood, allow my expertise to work for you.

Keep Your Money Where It Is
It’s not wise to make any large purchases or move your money around three to six months before buying a new home. You don’t want to take any big chances with your credit profile. Any large purchases can have an effect on the loan that you will qualify for.

Get Pre-Approved for Your Home Loan
Reach out to a reputable mortgage agent and get pre-approved. Getting pre-approved means a lender has examined all of your financial information and they’ve let you know how much you can afford and how much they will lend you. You will also receive a pre-approval letter from your agent which we will submit with your offer to purchase when that time comes.

Home Inspection
Hire a home inspector. It’ll cost a few hundred dollars, but could end up saving you thousands. A home inspector will provide you with information so that you will know exactly what condition the home is in and what repairs you may have to budget for.

Research the Area
Before you buy, make sure you get comfortable with the neighborhood. Drop by morning noon and night. Make sure the area offers what you want in the way of lifestyle, services, transportation and ease of commute to where you need to go on a regular basis.
